which are available by post or email.

Whenever possible we aim to at least acknowledge an initial request for research or search services,
within 14 days of receipt of the request by the research officer.

One request per member/non-member at any one time and enquirers must await a reply before
sending another request. Research assistance is subject to the availability and workload of the
research officer. Therefore at times there may be delays in completing research.

All research and searches are carried out in good faith and every effort is made to provide
accurate information. However, the society cannot be held responsible for any mistakes made in
transcription. It may be that we do not hold the relevant records or information for a search to be
carried out. In such a case the fee would be refunded.

Charges for Searches and Research.

Charges for research and searches can now be paid online via PayPal, using
the PayPal Secure Server. Payments  can be made by PayPal account, or by Credit or Debit Card.
You do not need a PayPal account to pay for your research by this method.

When your research has been completed, you will be informed of the amount due.

	Paying for Research via PayPal.
	Click on the donate button. Enter the amount due and click update totals, then complete the PayPal form to complete the payment.

If you prefer not to pay for your research via the PayPal Secure Server,
you are asked to pay in sterling, by sterling cheque drawn against a bank with an international branch based in London,
or by sterling International Money Order (to avoid currency conversion charges).

Records searched at the Local Studies Library & West Yorkshire Archives Huddersfield. Pro rata charges to Root Cellar searches, plus £3.00 travelling expenses.
West Yorkshire Archive & Register of Deeds searches. Pro rata charges to Root Cellar, plus £8.00 travelling expenses.
Any research not as described requires a £10.00 initial deposit. Please contact our Research Co-Ordinator, for prices.
Postage Charges. UK Postage is included in the charges shown. Overseas are charges shown plus £2.00 postage.
