A book dedicated to the memory of Dr George Redmonds

Names, Places & People: a selection of articles from Old West Riding, is edited by Cyril Pearce and is dedicated to the memory of Dr George Redmonds. This is a collection of selections from Old West Riding which was published between 1981 and 1995 and include articles which, in Cyril’s words, ‘have become classics but which have not been published elsewhere’, ranging in topic from the ‘uses of urine’ to the stories of Yorkshire emigrant pioneers in America.
